Goyo or "G", aka De Antes Arts, is a self-taught Colorado artist who creates intricate medicine-inspired drawings with graphite, ink & markers. His family is from Wirikuta, one of the most sacred parts of Mexico, which is believed to be the original birthplace of Peyote. Drawing most of his inspiration from this, he creates series of drawings on a professional level, aged parchment paper called, Magna Carta.

De Antes Arts' most recent pieces released through Artdrop are his two sacred deer drawings, these have been "in the process of being worked on for about a little over 2 years."

"I started the first piece as a deer with peyote because my family comes from a really sacred land; where the deer walk, their tracks grow with peyote. And I felt that at one point, the deer needed a partner. That's when the next piece came along, where I made the second deer, a mushroom piece."

While still considering Denver to be home, G has strong roots and connections to his family in Mexico. His urge to travel and learn grew from seeing many backpackers and tourists visit his home land. He has spent a lot of his life traveling the states as well as Canada, Mexico and Central America. 

G's nomadic expression for life has impacted people throughout his journeys, he believes "it's important to venture and talk to people and be open about communication because there are so many people out there that don't get their stories heard."
