Le Songe d’une Nuit d'Éther (An Ether-Night’s Dream) is a very special painting for me and there are two reasons. The first is that this canvas made me feel the desire to go back to painting exclusively in 2013. I truly let my inner being express itself freely without prior drawing nor preconceived ideas, which has since been my way of creating my art. This vision of the mineral and water mixing immediately appeared on my canvas in a sort of vortex, of perpetual motion, an essential and infinite circle of life. Secondly, this canvas was a confirmation of re-claiming the path of the artist after observing Martina’s powerful, initial emotion in front of the finished painting when we first spent time together. It has belonged to her ever since.
